Random House sure knows how to pick the books and package them beautifully, interior and exterior wise. This book contains plant based recipes and I can vouch that even though her ingredients are used by us everyday, her recipes turn them into something more delicious and unique. The book is divided into seasons, with summer split into early and late summer. I love how cook books are dividing their books in this way. Only one recipe was tried from this book but like I said, it was delicious The final product looked identical to the one in the photo and it was easy to replicate.

We just added a bit of friend onion garnish on top, but that was optional. I love the rustic feel of this recipe and I will definitely be doing this recipe again in the future. All the recipes are very healthy and there are many options such as vegetarian, vegan, and even gluten free options.

I really want to try out the dessert section because there are some mouth watering ones I've tabbed for later. Also, my whole family loved this dish.

It is everything I was hoping for and expecting. Beautiful book filled with nourishing and heathy recipes. It is obvious that the author is knowledgable about food science and nutrition.

It is the book that ignited my passion for cooking healthy vegan food. Every recipe turned out great - and most pages include a nutritional fun-fact about a specific ingredient included in the recipe. I love that it is organized based on what is in season, and I love how much I have learned about food. There are a couple of mistakes to watch out for though - a couple of the recipes will say vegan when they are in fact not vegan including Ghee for example, which is made of butter - easy fix though! My favorite thing about the New Roots cookbooks are the mouth watering photos, feel of the pages, type of paper used, matte finish The cover drew me in as always. The book is divided into 5 chapters and seasons using ingredients in abundance during those seasons. There is even a chart for dry beans, growing sprouts and stocking your pantry. The instructtions are clear and easy to follow with nothing taking more than 45 mmminutes.
